ROUND 3: invisionAZ and StartupAZ Announces Additional EmergeAZ Fast Grant Awardees

Phoenix, AZ—invisionAZ and StartupAZ announced the third round of EmergeAZ Fast Grants awarded to Arizona startups and entrepreneurs. The $1 million EmergeAZ Fast Grant Fund is a collaboration with Governor Doug Ducey to provide resources to entrepreneurs and startups with emerging technologies designed to address current economic, health, or societal challenges.

“Arizona is quickly emerging as the go-to tech hub for startups and entrepreneurs,” said Jack Selby, Chairman of invisionAZ. “The EmergeAZ Fast Grant awardees represent a diverse cross-section of industries that are exploring and developing new ways to solve challenges in our community.”

  • Kler Corp: KLER is redefining product transparency in the Hemp & CBD Industry. The platform manages Cannabis operations from seed to sale to promote transparency, facilitate compliance and manage the full supply chain for cannabis licensees, government agencies, and the public.  
  • Hownd, Inc.: Hownd provides an effortless, zero-risk software platform that helps local brick and mortar retail businesses generate customer foot traffic and revenue. Hownd makes a merchant’s promotional offers easy for nearby consumers to discover, claim, and redeem digitally.
  • My Little Mascara Club: My Little Mascara Club’s private label mascara subscription service is focused on building a community where women can connect and share their wisdom to help lift each other.
  • Delishry: Delishry is an online food marketplace focused on small towns where consumers can search and place orders from local restaurants that partner on the Delishry platform. The platform allows partners to advertise along with accept and process orders for take-out, doorstep delivery, and drive-up. Restaurants can also use their own delivery employees.
  • qBotica: qBotica helps enterprises automate functions such as HR, Finance, Procurement Operations, and any data driven entry processes. The automation helps augment the human workforce to be more productive and focus on key aspects of the business.
  • Innovative Construction Technology: ICT digitizes the capture of construction progress and provide real-time performance metrics to all the project stakeholders allowing managers to make timely decisions on issues that arise.
  • RexPay Inc.: RexPay is a mobile app that helps patients understand, manage, and pay all medical bills and check insurance coverage in one place.
  • SchoolTrace: SchoolTrace is a first-to-market contact tracing application that uses customizable seating charts and easy-to-integrate class schedule and attendance records to see who might have been exposed and who needs to quarantine when a positive COVID-19 case is discovered.
  • CO+HOOTS/HUUB: HUUB is an entrepreneur and small business community platform that helps entrepreneurs connect to vital local experts, find relevant professional trainings and builds a digital online community.
  • Fusebox, LLC: Fusebox is a “tech-enabled” utility management company that provides clients with real-time, interval and billing data related to grid electric, solar electric, gas and water along with practical strategies to eliminate waste and save.

“The applications for the EmergeAZ Fast Grant have revealed the depth and breadth of emerging innovations and technologies that are being developed by Arizona startups,” said Brandon Clarke, co-founder and CEO of StartupAZ. “Many of the awardees have used the COVID-19 pandemic as an opportunity to address real needs within our community and provide much-needed services to businesses, customers, and community organizations across the world.”

To date, 25 Arizona startups and entrepreneurs have received EmergeAZ Fast Grants. The applications for the EmergeAZ Fast Grant will be reviewed on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted. Arizona based startups that are in revenue, have been in existence for at least 12-months and have five or more employees may be eligible to apply for the grant.
